Description

A recent study showed the State of Texas has 240 counties with USDA Drought Disaster Designations (primary). Over 3.2 million Texas residents reside in areas of drought, according to the Drought Monitor. This course will address the issues of water stress, drought, and the factors contributing toward calculating water footprints and be able to communicate how to conserve water inside and outside of existing homes. Students will learn about water saving opportunities for new construction and how to be leaders in sustainability and water conservation efforts.
