Instructions

Thank you for your interest in joining the South Padre Island Board of REALTORS®. 

In order to apply for Primary Membership you must:

(1) Have a Texas Real Estate License 

(2) Ensure your sponsoring Broker is a Primary or Secondary Member of the South Padre Island Board of REALTORS®


In order to apply for Secondary Membership you must:

(1) Have a Texas Real Estate License 

(2) Ensure your sponsoring Broker is a  Member of the South Padre Island Board of REALTORS®

(3) Provide a Letter of Good Standing from your Primary Association


In order to apply for MLS-Only Membership you must

(1) Have a Texas Real Estate License 

(2) Ensure your sponsoring Broker is a  Member of the South Padre Island Board of REALTORS®

(3) Provide a Letter of Good Standing from your Primary Association

Select An Option

In order to have MLS-Only Membership with the South Padre Island Board of REALTORS® you must hold REALTOR® membership at another association. If you are an agent, the Designated Broker must hold membership before you can join our MLS.  We require that a Letter of Good Standing be submitted with all membership applications.  MLS-Only Membership provides you with full access to Navica MLS and Supra.  MLS-Only Members do not have voting privileges and cannot serve on committees ot the board of directors and do not receive discounted fees for events. 

Please note that the Designated Broker pays a different application fee than the agent.

An individual is a primary member if they pay local, state and national dues through the South Padre Island Board of REALTORS®.  Primary members are able to vote, serve on committees and the Board of Directors and receive discounted event tickets. 

Annual Dues are based on the month your license is sponsored by your broker in TREC. If you were sponsored prior to this current month you will owe additional dues and a separate invoice for the balance will be emailed to you before your application is processed. 

Secondary membership with the South Padre Island Board of REALTORS® means that you have primary membership with another local board and your state and national dues are paid through them. Some individuals will choose to have their primary membership with one board and secondary membership at other boards so they can receive the benefits of membership from each local board, such as, voting and serving on committees or the Board of Directors. We require that a Letter of Good Standing be submitted with all membership applications.
