Presented by the Texas REALTORS® Diversity and Fair Housing Committee as part of its Fair Housing Fireside Chat Series, this session explores the important role REALTOR® associations can play in advancing fair housing and supporting members in putting fair housing principles into practice. 

Tikola McGee, Chair of the National Association of REALTORS® Fair Housing Policy Committee, and Alexia Smokler, Director of Fair Housing Policy & Programs within NAR’s Advocacy Group, will share perspectives on fair housing efforts at the national and association levels and discuss ways REALTOR® organizations can turn fair housing commitments into meaningful action. The conversation will explore approaches to education, advocacy, member engagement, and programming that can strengthen fair housing efforts within REALTOR® communities. 

Attendees will gain practical ideas and examples they can take back to their own associations, along with a broader understanding of how REALTOR® leaders and associations can help advance fair housing and support equal professional service throughout the real estate industry.
